What To Expect
You will be introduced to all the useful information on safety and what to expect on the way to our office and Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. When the team reaches the trail, you will plunge into the jungle and begin the uphill climb into the Elephant Cave. Upon completing the most difficult 20 minutes of the trek, you will be rewarded with the magnificent sight of a 60 meter high, 300-meter-long Elephant cave. Our guides will lead you through the cave, take you into the depths, and tell you about the war history of the cave.
After exploring Elephant Cave, the team will hike the jungle trail, cross rivers, and balance across fallen trees. Deep into Ma Da Valley, you and the team will go until you reach the heavenly blue waters of Ma Da Crystal Lake. Here you and the team will have the opportunity to take a swim, do some cliff jumping and enjoy a delicious Jungle BBQ prepared by your porter (vegan options also available).
With full bellies and feeling refreshed you and the team will gear up and continue on the jungle hike. A few kilometers down the trail and a couple river crossings later the team will come upon a large bend in the river and a staging area for the swim into Tra Ang Cave. After a short scramble up some limestone rocks, you will reach the cool waters of Tra Ang Cave and begin the 600m swim into the furthest depths of the cave.
Once the Tra Ang Cave swim is completed, our guides will lead you to the road. Here your driver will be waiting for you with a cold beer or soda and a ride back to our Headquarters. This exclusive Ma Da Valley Jung Camping 2 Days 1 Night tour will take you on a beautiful trek to the Elephant cave. Explore 300m of the cave taking in the unique formations whilst the guide gives you information as to how the caves are formed.
Carry on your trek through lush tropical jungle to reach the Ma Da Crystal Lake where you will set up camp. Play games, sample happy water & nosh on a marvelous jungle BBQ before turning in for the night.
Carry on your trek through the Jungle to reach the untouched Tra-Ang cave. Enjoy another mouth-watering BBQ before climbing over massive rocks to reach its mouth. Complete a 600m swim within its depths. You will then carry on your trek to get back to the HCM trail ending your adventure.
Ma Da Valley Jungle Camping for 2 Days Itinerary

Day 1: Phong Nha – Road 20 Victory – Elephant cave – Ma Da Valley
8:00: Pick up at our hotel in Phong Nha or Dong Hoi and transfer to Vietnam Shore Excursions Headquarter.
8:30: Team meeting to plan the trip, clarify rules and regulations in the National Park.
8:45 – 9:00: Depart for Elephant Cave by van.
10:00 – 10:30: Arrive at the trek departure point and start trekking through the jungle to the Elephant cave.
10:30 – 12:00: Explore the Elephant cave.
13:00: Trek to Ma Da valley after lunch.
14:30: Arrive at Ma Da lake. You will have a great chance to swim into Ma Da crystal lake. enjoy the wildlife in the jungle.
16:00 – 17:00: Set up camp.
18:00 – 21:30: Enjoy dinner with Vietnamese traditional food, chill, relax.
Day 2: Ma Da valley – Tra Ang valley – Road 20 Victory – Phong Nha
8:45: Trek through the jungle after breakfast.
10:00: Reach to Tra Ang cave.
10:30 – 11:30: Swim into Tra Ang Cave to explore 600m Tra Ang Cave.
12:00: Have lunch.
13:00: Start trekking back to the Ho Chi Minh Road.
14:30: Arrive at Ho Chi Minh Road, enjoy a cold drink on the road.

We ask for a 60 % deposit on your receipt of our PayPal invoice for this Ma Da Valley Jungle Camping. The rest of the balance you will pay at the end of your tour in cash – $USD or local currency VND at the exchange rate prevailing on the day or pay online in advance by (PayPal/ Credit, Debit Card). Your booking will be instantly confirmed with ticket booking.
Please note: We will charge an extra 3% for bank services if you pay your deposit or the total of payment via PayPal, Credit cards, Debit Card.
Deposit Cancellation Terms:
If customers cancel some or all portions of the booking regardless of the reasons, the customers agree to pay cancellation fees as follows:
- If you cancel the trip 40 days before the arrival, VSE will refund your deposit.
- If you cancel the trip 39 – 30 days before the arrival, you will lose 10% of the full payment.
- If you cancel the trip 29 – 15 days before the arrival, you will lose 30% of the full payment.
- If you cancel the trip 14 – 7 days before the arrival, you will lose 50% of the full payment.
- If you cancel the trip 6 – 2 days before the arrival, you will lose 75% of the full payment.
- If you cancel less than 2 days, you will lose 100% of the full payment.
